With NEF, you have your choice of two types of agent opportunities: referral partnership or sub-agent program.

Sub-agents
If you prefer the long-term benefit of the sub-agent program, NEF can work as a Master Agent to offer you price information and technical support for your sales opportunities. As the sub-agent, you are responsible for finding the opportunity, qualifying the lead, submitting a request to NEF for pricing, and closing the sale. NEF will provide you with pricing and network information from the carriers being quoted. In exchange for managing the sales cycle from beginning to end as a sub-agent, you will receive a residual commission payment based on the customer's monthly billing.
To qualify for payment as a sub-agent, you complete the following steps:
- Identify leads
- Qualify sales opportunities
- Request pricing from NEF via provided web interface
- Get a signed customer agreement
Referral Partner
You may currently represent a complementary telecom product set such as voice, T1 data/Internet, DSL or cable modem services and need a reliable, knowledgeable resource for high capacity optical solutions for your customers and prospects. As an NEF referral partner, you can simply identify sales opportunities and refer them to an NEF team member. NEF will directly engage the customer, design the solution and close the sale. As the referral agent, you receive a one-time payment in exchange for identifying the sales opportunity.
To qualify for payment as the referral agent, you will provide NEF with
- The customer name contact information
- A description of the opportunity
