Charlie McLravy, Asset Sales & Business Development
Charlie McLravy has worked in the communications industry, primarily media and telecommunications, for over 30 years. While Charlie has extensive experience as an operator, his primary skill sets are in deal making, strategy, and finance. He brings his vast experience and enviable educational background to his role at NEF as a lead in business development and fiber network asset sales. He is the key driver at NEF for attracting and marketing telecom assets including operating companies, networks, fiber assets, bandwidth, and towers.
Educated in both finance and law, Charlie has owned and operated telecommunications companies including dark fiber networks, long-haul lit service networks, and tower companies. He has also served in an advisory capacity in the same areas. Charlie began his career in communications in advertising and has owned and served in leadership at multiple media outlets—radio stations, television stations, outdoor businesses, alternative media, and Internet companies.
Charlie possesses numerous degrees and certifications to augment is deep professional background. He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and graduated cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School. He also received the CPA Certificate of Examination from the State of Michigan. Charlie hails from Michigan State University with degrees in accounting and finance.
Charlie enjoys an impressive list of activities and philanthropic efforts. He currently serves on the board of directors of two large non-profit conservation organizations and is chair of the marketing committee. He also spends time writing, reading, hunting, fishing, and sailing, and is a published author of a novel.
